We rely on the tireless efforts of our volunteer Board of Directors. 

Mỹ Dang, Interim President

Mỹ advocates for French as a Second Language education to numerous stakeholders and decision-makers at the provincial and national levels. Mỹ, whose native languages are Vietnamese and Cantonese, has been working on her French language proficiency since completing her studies. She lived in Montreal for seven years, which sparked her love of both our official languages. interimpresident@on.cpf.ca.

Myron Karpiuk, Interim Vice President

An advocate for French programs, Myron is a retired school principal in Thunder Bay who continues to actively work with stakeholders and school boards.

Elizabeth Hoerath, Treasurer

As a parent, educator, and provincial leader, Elizabeth explores ways to leverage research, policy, and initiatives to support all students wishing to learn French. 

Jayne Evans, Director
A retired educational consultant supporting students and French teachers in Niagara Region, Jayne serves on many boards and in the community.

 

Christine Rees, Director
Through her various roles, including FSL Consultant and University Instructor, Christine recognizes the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders.

Mariana Kirkwood- Lazazzera, Youth Representative
A recently certified teacher, Mariana is an accomplished volunteer who has piloted several French programs through CPF Ontario.

CPF ON Bylaws

CPF Bylaw No. 1, Ontario Branch 2017

Bylaws are the rules and regulations adopted by a corporation for its internal governance.

The CPF Bylaws, including areas of duplication, have been written to coincide with corresponding numbered sections of the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act (NFP). Where the National and Branch bylaws are silent, Canadian Parents for French will comply with what is written under the Canada NFP Act.

CPF Bylaw No. 1, Ontario Branch 2017 was approved at the CPF Ontario Annual General Meeting on October 29, 2017.
