REEL CANADA believes that great films are a fantastic tool for helping students learn a new language. They also know that watching Canadian films opens a conversation about our nation, identity, and what it means to be a part of this (bilingual) country. That’s why REEL CANADA is inviting teachers to screen a French-language Canadian film in their class, completely FREE OF CHARGE.

High school students from schools that are CPF members can borrow from REEL CANADA’s library of more than 20 French-language feature films, along with documentaries and short films that cover many themes and topics. Lesson plans for French classes (and lots of other subject areas) to easily tie in with your curriculum are also available.

For elementary schools from JK to Grade 8 who are CPF members, REEL CANADA offers a smaller, age-appropriate list curated especially for younger viewers as well as lesson plans and support materials.

Please note that this is an exclusive offer available only to elementary and high schools that are CPF members.

They will even help you along the way with film selections, lesson plans, and scheduling your very own festival event!
